Directions

  1. NOTE: Don't chill.
  2. The day you receive the Starter, do nothing but place in a covered bowl.
  3. Stir with wooden spoon.
  4. Add in 1 cup plain flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup lowfat milk. Stir with wooden spoon.

Pour into 3 containers, 1 cup each for friends, and these instructions.In remaining mix (1 cup), add in 2/3 cup oil, 3 large eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp baking pwdr, 1/2 tsp soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon. Mix together with wooden spoon. Add in 1 large box instant pudding mix, 1 cup minced nuts or possibly chopped nuts, 1 cup raisins, and 1 cup fruit, if you like.
  8. Candied fruit for a holiday cake is good. Mix well. Pour into well-greased loaf pans which have been dusted in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 min. Makes 2 loaves. Let cool in pans before removing.
