Ingredients
- 2 c. Lowfat milk, scalded
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Grnd nutmeg
- 3 c. Soft breadcrumbs
- 1/2 c. Raisins
Directions
- Combine lowfat milk and butter, stir till butter is melted. Cold to lukewarm.
- Combine Large eggs, sugar, salt, and nutmeg, beat at medium speed of electric mixer for 1 min. Slowly stir in lowfat milk mix. Place breadcrumbs in a lightly greased 1-1/2-qt casserole; sprinkle with raisins. Add in lowfat milk mix. Bake at 350 for 50 min or possibly till set. Serve hot.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
- This recipe does not use Vanilla, but I add in 1 tsp. of vanilla.
