Ingredients
- 16oz box white cake mix (plus required ingredients)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 (.3 oz) bottle blue food coloring
- 5 drops red food coloring
- non-stick cooking spray
- 3 pints raspberry sorbet
- 2 1/2 pints vanilla ice cream
- 2 pints heavy cream
- 1/4 cup confectioners sugar

%20amazing!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20325%20degrees%20F.%20%20Coat%20a%209-inch%20springform%20pan%20with%20non-stick%20cooking%20spray.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrepare%20the%20cake%20mix%20as%20directed%20on%20the%20package.%20%20Add%20the%20cocoa%20powder%20and%20food%20coloring%20to%20the%20batter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETransfer%20to%20the%20prepared%20pan%20and%20bake%20until%20done,%20about%2045%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%20the%20cake%20cool%20completly,%20then%20remove%20from%20the%20pan.%20%20Use%20a%20serrated%20knife%20to%20level%20the%20domed%20top%20of%20the%20cake.%20%20Cut%20a%205-inch%20circle%20from%20the%20center%20of%20the%20cake.%20%20Freeze%20the%20large%20cake%20ring.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20a%206-by-30-inch%20strip%20of%20parchment%20paper.%20%20Spray%20a%20clean%20springform%20pan%20with%20non-stick%20spray%20and%20then%20line%20the%20side%20of%20the%20pan%20with%20parchment%20paper.%20%20Use%20a%20little%20tape%20on%20the%20outside%20of%20the%20paper%20ring%20to%20keep%20it%20from%20curling%20back%20up.%20%20The%20paper%20will%20extend%20above%20the%20rim%20of%20the%20pan%20so%20you%20can%20build%20a%20tall%20cake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%201%20pint%20of%20sorbet%20soften%20at%20room%20temperature.%20%20Use%20a%20rubber%20spatula%20to%20spread%20the%20sorbet%20in%20an%20even%20layer%20at%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20prepared%20pan.%20%20Freeze%20until%20firm,%20at%20least%2030%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%201%20pint%20of%20vanilla%20ice%20cream%20soften.%20%20Use%20a%20rubber%20spatula%20to%20spread%20an%20even%20layer%20of%20vanilla%20ice%20cream%20on%20top%20of%20the%20sorbet.%20%20Freeze%20until%20firm,%20then%20repeat%20to%20make%201%20more%20layer%20each%20of%20sorbet%20and%20ice%20cream.%20%20You%20will%20have%204%20layers%20total.%20%20Freeze%20until%20firm.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20blue%20cake%20ring%20on%20top%20of%20the%20ice%20cream,%20pressing%20gently.%20%20Return%20to%20the%20freezer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUse%20the%20top%20of%20the%20ice%20cream%20container%20as%20a%20guide.%20%20Place%20some%20sorbet%20between%20some%20plastic%20wrap%20and%20flatten%20to%20make%20a%205-inch%20round%20disc.%20%20Transfer%20the%20flattened%20sorbet%20into%20the%20hole%20in%20the%20cake,%20smoothing%20as%20needed.%20%20Freeze%20until%20firm.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERepeat%20the%20last%20step%20using%20the%20vanilla%20ice%20cream.%20%20Place%20the%20layer%20on%20top%20of%20the%20sorbet%20layer.%20%20Repeat%20steps%20to%20create%20one%20more%20sorbet%20layer%20on%20top.%20%20Freeze%20until%20firm.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMake%20the%20whipped%20cream:%20%20Beat%20the%20heavy%20cream%20and%20confectioners%E2%80%99%20sugar%20with%20an%20electric%20mixer%20until%20stiff%20peaks%20form.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20the%20springform%20ring%20and%20parchment%20paper%20from%20the%20cake.%20%20Cover%20the%20cake%20with%20the%20whipped%20cream.%20%20Freeze%20until%20ready%20to%20serve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%201%20cake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdapted%20from%20Food%20Network%20Magazine%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
