Afghans With Chocolate Icing Recipe

Ingredients

  • 7 ounce Butter
  • 3 ounce Sugar
  • 6 ounce Flour
  • 1 ounce Bournville Cocoa
  • 2 ounce Corn flakes
  • 1 dsp butter
  • 1 dsp boiling water
  • 2 ounce Chocolate, grated
  • 8 ounce Icing sugar Essence of vanilla

Directions

  1. Afghans: Soften butter, add in sugar and beat to a cream; add in flour, cocoa and lastly corn flakes. Put spoonfulls on a greased oven tray and bake about 15 min at 180 degrees C (350 F). When cool, ice with chocolate icing and put walnuts on top.
  2. Chocolate Icing: Hot butter, dissolve chocolate in water; add in to butter, then stir in sifted icing sugar. Flavour with vanilla.
