  • 1 c. Butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. Confectioners' sugar
  • 2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Minced pecans

Directions

  1. Preparation Time: 15 min
  2. Baking Time: 10 to 12 min per batch
  3. 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar till smooth in mixer bowl. Add in flour, salt and vanilla and mix till blended. Fold in nuts.
  4. 2. Roll tsp.-size pcs of dough in a ball and put onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake till light golden brown, 10 to 12 min.
  5. The cookie bottoms should be golden. Roll cookies in confectioners' sugar immediately after baking.
  6. Honorable mention went to Kathleen Shelton of Marengo. These cookies freeze well.
