About me
I'm a mom and a grandma, having an active 10 year old as well as 5 grandkids and their mommies to love! I'm lucky that hubby and all of my kiddos are willing and ready to explore any new recipes I come up with. I adore cooking, and while I have no formal training, I can and will cook pretty much anything.
Cooking Influences
Having grown up with the influence of my southern family, and later developing an apparent affinity for marrying Italians, most of my food will somehow reflect one of these cultures. My fondest food memory is coming home from school at about 10 years old, only to find grandma actually in the act of creating my favorite peach cobbler. I was amazed; up until then I knew that I liked certain foods more than others, but I had never thought about the process, and the LOVE, that went into a meal. The fascination began then, but it wasn't until a bitter divorce after a failed first marriage that I really developed a passion for creating my own delicious dishes. Once I found it there was no turning back. I'm pleased to say that my "Keeper" husband couldn't be more thrilled!

Comments
- October 8, 2011I am starting a page called "Disabled, but Still Cooking". I saw your page and thought that you might have a couple of easy, quick recipes that could be made from a wheelchair or by a person who doesn't have a lot of energy due to illness or age. If you have a recipe that fits these guidelines, will you please go to "Disabled, but Still Cooking" and post it there?
Thanks,
Linda, from South Carolina
