Hello Stacey. My name is Denese (smokinhotchef) and I was cruising the website and wanted to know more about you. Im here in Virginia. I too am a writer at heart and have been developing a cookbook of my own. Your story is an interesting one that made me smile. I have friends up north from Trinidad, Grenada, and Haiti not to mention Africa. We all met in college many years ago. I learned so much about other ethnicities from my friends as well as their different styles of cooking. I would take day trips to New York with my then Grenadian boyfriend, and always came back with traditional favorites like curry goat and roti. Thank you for helping me recall those memories and best of wishes with your future endeavors. Feel free to drop a line . I also can relate to caring for ailing parents and I know that road can be a long one. Our parents do appreciate it and and being there for them is food for our minds and souls. Bless

Thanks Stacey ... about the Crab Louie Bites, this is what I replied: I have made this a few times but normally serve it pretty quickly. I have made other appetizers with wrappers and if precooked, they held fine. If you are planning on keeping these in a warming oven, I suggest you try a batch first... besides, you may decide to make more....

I (temporarily) broke the link to the book last week when I sold the last book from the first printing. The book was never meant to be published (long story), but I was encouraged to do so and was invited to do a book signing/cooking demo. I had a minimal amount printed by an on-demand printer just to see how it went. It went VERY well. So, I've placed a second order which I should receive in the middle of October. I will re-activate the listing at that time. Hope I have not posed any problems. I HAVE to remind myself to post that here. The proceeds from these initial printings will be used to take the book to a new publisher and go from there. Thanks so much, Stacey.
