About me
Hi, I'm a Northern Belle by way of the South. I was raised by a southern mother, aunts and uncles which allowed me to enjoy many southern meals growing up ; like collard greens and cornbread, southern fried chicken, yams, lima beans, baked macaroni and cheese, the list goes on. Over the years I have learned to master my mother's recipes and add a little flavor of my own. I have learned to take those same meals and cook with a more health conscious mindset. I have self studied different chefs with different backgrounds and kind of learned to do my own thing. I will be adding recipes soon. Hope you enjoy!
Cooking Influences
Mable Harris (my adoring mother)
My Aunt Ernestine Harris
Cooking shows like Iron Chef, Pat and Gina Neely, Rachel Ray, there's too many to name.
Cookbooks of all different natures.
But most of all good old fashion ingenuity and creativity for the love of cooking.
