I'm an at-home mom of two, with a third on the way. Just trying to teach my kids (and hubby) to eat a variety of healthy foods without going broke over it.
Cooking Influences
I have a lot of different cooking influences, though my family get the biggest credit. My favorite thing to do lately is revamp family recipes so that they're healthier. Swapping out ground beef for ground turkey, using a LOT less salt (thankfully, things are put out in low sodium versions now), less sugar, adding as much vegetation as I can sneak in without the kids complaining... My goal is to do this to all of my favorites without skimping on flavor. :) My sister-in-law is a big influence in this project. She's actually a graduate of a culinary school, so she has a lot of fresh ideas. (She also makes me try things I've always been too picky for, and I usually find I like them!) Other than that, I love learning from all of you!
