December 10, 2009His first cookbook, I'm Just Here for the Food, won a James Beard award for best reference book. I love it as well, there are several wonderful recipes in it. I enjoy the Cube Steak a la Salisbury, fried green tomatoes (I'm Southern ;) ), Grilled Butterflied Chicken (first recipe I made from the book), Chick On a Stick and a lot LOL
December 10, 2009Glad you joined, Lisa. I've cooked extensively from the Frugal Gourmet, but haven't every read Alton Brown even though I've heard a ton about him. I'm going to buy one of his books based on your recommendation. Any favorite you'd recommend that is not specific to baking?
