About me
As the third born in a family of seven children, I am naturally used to share my time and thoughts with people around me. Now married with a wonderful child, I like to keep myself busy with plenty of activities. With the exception maybe of reading a few books, I inevitably end up involving my family and many friends into what I do: from holidays and parties, to cooking lessons and wine tasting. If you have any questions on wine pairing don't be afraid to ask, I have just become a certified sommelier!
Cooking Influences
Like a good Italian, I approached the cooking world when I was small. The Sunday lunches in the countryside were always a big feast: from homemade pastas, especially lasagne, cannelloni, ravioli and pappardelle ... farmed meat (poultry and rabbits) and wild game from my grandfather and my uncle ... and then the cakes made by our grandmother, like tiramisu' and Latte alla Portoghese. My passion for cooking comes from the lifestyle typical of our Tuscany countryside, simple and traditional. Thanks to all the cooking classes I am attending - which involved plenty of mistakes - I aim to merge in my dishes the simple flavours of the past with more modern tastes and perceptions.
